Living in the Hamptons means that we make frequent trips to the beach. Even if it’s just for an hour, Indigo and I like to head to the ocean to build sandcastles and put our feet in the water. Most of our beach trips are last minute, but this time I thought it would be plan something special. I’ve been wanting to have a picnic since the weather warmed up, so when Wayfair asked me to be a part of their “Life’s a Picnic” campaign, I jumped at the chance!
Indigo and I headed to our favorite beach (Flying Point Beach in Southampton) with a basket full of our healthy favorites including my favorite picnic food- Vegan Tahini Greek Pasta Salad. The recipe, plus pics from our fun afternoon are below!

Wayfair has a great selection of picnic baskets. After some deliberating, I decided to go with this VonShef 4 Person Wicker Picnic Basket. I love the classic design! It comes with flatware, plates, glasses and cotton napkins. The blue and white gingham print is perfect for summer! The basket is sturdy and even with the included goodies, there’s still plenty of room for food.
The basket closes with leather straps and there’s a sturdy leather top handle.
Along with the pasta salad, I packed watermelon and cherries from the local farm stand, as well as fresh bread and vegan cheese. I don’t know about you, but the sea air always makes me hungry!
Indigo and I had a great time at the beach and I have many more picnics planned for this summer!
This Vegan Tahini Greek Pasta Salad is the perfect food to bring on a picnic. It’s easy to prepare, healthy and filling! It also makes use of summer’s in season veggies.
