People usually have a hard time finding my house. My street is shaded by large trees so visitors often miss the numbers on the mailbox. I wanted to add some house numbers that were functional as well as attractive. Enter the House Number Planter DIY! I teamed up with Gorilla Glue to bring you this useful project that will instantly up your curb appeal.
Gorilla Glue is my go-to adhesive for all my DIY projects. It’s easy to apply and the strength is second to none! For this House Number Planter DIY I thought I’d put Gorilla Tough & Clear Mounting Tape to the test. This clear double-sided tape that mounts in an instant and it’s weatherproof! The clear tape also won’t yellow over time so it’s ideal to use on glass, acrylic or any other clear surface.

Supplies needed for House Number Planter DIY
1 x 6 Pine board
Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive
Gel stain or paint
Gorilla Tough & Clear Mounting Tape
Cut the wood into the following lengths
1 board- 20 inches long
1 board- 7 inches long
3 boards- 5 3/4 inches long
Using the Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive, glue 2 of the inch sections together. Clamp to let dry.

Glue the other inch piece on and clamp to dry.
Place the planter at the bottom of the inch board. Nail in place and add more Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive.
Glue the bottom piece to the planter and drill a hole for drainage.
The great thing about this House Number Planter DIY is that it can be customized to match your style and decor. I used a gel stain and then spray painted the black number white so they would really pop!
Apply the Gorilla Tough & Clear Mounting Tape to the back of the board. I applied tape at the top, middle and bottom of the board. This tape can hold up to 15lbs, which is much heavier than this address planter!
