I can clearly remember being a small child and reading bedtime stories with my mom. My love of books has been a big part of my life (I even majored in English Literature in college) and it’s important to me that I share this with Indigo. We read stories every evening, but as Indigo gets older I’ve been wondering if I should supplement our learning with another tool.  I was recently introduced to Reading Eggs Junior and I was excited to incorporate it into our evening routine.
Reading Eggs Junior is a brand new online learning program for toddlers aged 2-4. Through interactive stories and educational games, Reading Eggs Junior helps toddlers take their first steps in learning how to read. This program was designed by experienced educators and it helps nurture a love of reading by making the experience fun!

In the past I’ve been wary of letting Indigo play with the tablet because he excitedly swipes on everything/anything and gets pretty hyper in the process. Reading Eggs Junior takes “screen time” and turns it into an educational experience. Indigo really focuses on the program and studies everything on the screen.

This is Indigo’s favorite Reading Eggs Junior educational game. It’s called “Jack in a Box” and it helps teach toddlers the alphabet. The game showcases one letter at a time. Objects are dropped onto the screen and the child must place the object with the correct letter (for example- ice cream in the “I” box) in the box.
This not only helps Indigo learn the letters of the alphabet, it also helps him recognize and name new objects. After only a few times of playing “Jack in a Box”, Indigo was saying a bunch of new words!

Reading Eggs Junior also has tons of stories…everything from classics like “Baa Baa Black Sheep” to animal picture books to fun geography lessons.

I love how Reading Eggs Junior can adapt as Indigo grows and learns. The program has a huge amount of content, so there is always something new to keep him interested. We’ve been using Reading Eggs Junior every day for weeks now and there’s still so much we haven’t seen!
I urge all you moms out there to give Reading Eggs Junior a try! Reading Eggs Junior is offering a FREE 4 week trial to get your little one started on the road to reading success! Sign up at  http://bit.ly/2wOfEpT
