     It wouldn’t feel like Christmas around here on the blog unless I included a knitting pattern for a Santa Hat! These hats are great for family holiday photos. As you can see, we’ve been having a lot of fun with them =) The design is pretty straightforward and thanks to the super bulky and yarn and big needles, these knit up fast. Perfect for the busy holiday season!

Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Fisherman
Loops & Threads Cozy Wool in Claret
Needles: Size 13 circular, 16 inch
Size 13 Double pointed
Free Christmas Knitting Pattern
Sizes: 6-12 months, Toddler, Small Child, Large Child, Women, Men
With the white yarn, cast on 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48) sts. Join yarn together. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 3 inches. Switch to red yarn and knit in the round until piece measures 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) inches from the cast on edge. Knit 2 together until you are left with 5 sts, switching to double pointed needles when necessary. Break yarn, pull through remaining stitches, pull to tighten. Make and attach pom pom.
