my summer guide to the hamptons

June 2, 2014

The Hamptons is a picturesque group of villages on the eastern end of Long Island in NY. It’s a very popular travel destination and an amazing place to spend the summer! Here are some of my favorite places:

Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton) The best gourmet dining experience in the Hamptons (in my opinion) Beautifully decorated and the presentation of the food is nothing short of amazing!

Sen (23 Main St, Sag Harbor) This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years now. If you love Japanese food this the place to go. Tip- they don’t accept reservations and on the weekends they get very busy. Dine early if you can to avoid the rush.

Fresh Hamptons (203 Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton) A great farm to table restaurant! Tons of vegetarian and vegan options.

Dockside Bar & Grill (26 Bay Street, Sag Harbor) Fantastic edamame burger! Outdoor seating offers a beautiful view of the water. Perfect place for a casual lunch before the beach!

Finale East Hampton (44 Three Mile Harbor Rd, East Hampton) Great music and the Saturday parties can’t be missed!

La Superica (1 Main St, Sag Harbor) Great location with a view of the Sag Harbor bridge. Casual and unpretentious with delicious Frozen Margaritas!

Southampton Social Club (256 Elm St, Southampton) Lovely outdoor space with open bar. Bottle service comes with use of the private cabanas.

Georgica (108 Stone Rd, Wainscott) Restaurant that turns into a really popular lounge after hours.

Flying Point Beach (1055 Flying Point Rd, Water Mill) Gorgeous beach with a picturesque walkway down to the ocean. The parking lot is small so get there early (especially on the weekends)

Sagg Main Beach (Sagaponack, NY) Very big and usually crowded. Great for people watching.

Long Beach (1000 Long Beach Road) If you want to avoid the ocean Long Beach is the place to go. It’s on the Bay side so the water is much warmer and calmer than the ocean. Perfect for families with young kids. Tons of parking and the location is really convenient.

Blue & Cream (60 The Circle East Hampton) Beautifully curated collection of mens and women’s clothing from designers like Mara Hoffman, Clover Canyon and Thakoon.

Coastal Home (2442 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton) Everything you need to decorate your beach house! Really pretty collection of new & vintage items.

Homenature (6 Main St, Southampton) Mid century modern inspired home furnishings. Even if you don’t buy anything, this shop is worth a look just for inspiration!

Southampton Animal Shelter Thrift Shop (30 Jagger Lane) This is my favorite thrift shop in the Hamptons! They’re constantly getting in new merchandise and they great prices on designer and rare vintage pieces.
