The cut out trend is still going strong for spring. Personally, I love it! Today I’m going to show you a really easy way to makeover a plain sweater. I included both a “sew” and “no sew” options in the directions below.
Supplies-
- Old crewneck sweater (light/medium weight is best- mine is acrylic)
- Suede
- Fabric glue

[Cut a petal out of the suede- mine measured 7 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. Use this as a template and cut out another 2] |

[Cut out the inside of the petals. Leave approximately 3/4″ as a border] |

[Arrange the shapes at the top of the sweater. Add a very thin line of glue around the middle border of the cut outs. This is to hold the cut outs down while you sew. NO SEW METHOD- entirely glue down the cut outs] |

[SEW METHOD- stitch around the inner and outer boarder of the cut outs] |
 |
[Cut out the sweater fabric in the inside of the cut outs] |
