diy anthropologie glissade drops

November 8, 2013

These Glissade Drops Earrings by Anthropologie have a really pretty Art Deco vibe. I love the mix of leather and the raw-edged silk.

Supplies-

  • Silk
  • Leather
  • Earring posts
  • Rhinestones & seed beads
  • Extra strength glue
  • Needle & thread
[Cut a piece of leather out with 4 round edges. It should measure roughly 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches long . Use it as a template and cut out 3 more]
[Poke the earring post through the back of the leather. Secure with glue]
[While the glue is still wet, press the other side of leather on top of the first]
[Cut 3 petals out of silk. Layer together and glue to the inside of the leather at the bottom]
[Stitch the 2 pieces of leather together around the edges]
[Add the larger rhinestones to the middle]
[Glue smaller rhinestones to the sides and stitch on some seed beads. Repeat steps to make other earring]
