diy plant stand makeover (and a sneak peek of my new wallpaper!)

May 29, 2013

This plant stand is my favorite vintage piece. It’s from the 1960’s and was used as part of a window display in a department store. It spent years sitting in my parent’s basement because I never had the space for it in my old apartments. I knew that it would be perfect in my new eat in kitchen! I covered it with a few coats of spray paint, and for added measure I painted my boring terra cotta pots with Martha Stewart Textured Metallic Paint in Lampblack
PS- Here’s a glimpse of the wallpaper I put up over the weekend. It’s so bright & cheerful!

Oh, Gina ~ this is so pretty! I love spiral staircases, but they can often be impractical to have in a home (try moving a mattress up one!), so I love the idea of a plant spiral staircase! It looks much better in white 😉 The wallpaper is so fun & funky, too!

Love your vintage plant stand! And the wallpaper! I originally clicked over from DwellingGawker because of the metallic pots, but these were bonus items to see! 🙂
