diy anthropologie tulle pom headband

December 27, 2012

This fun hair accessory is inspired by  Anthropologie’s Tulle Pom Headband . It’s the perfect way to glam up a basic back dress for a New Year’s Eve party.
Supplies

  • CD (or something similar in size) to trace a circle
  • Cardboard
  • Spool of tulle fabric
  • Plain headband
  • String or yarn in the same color as the tulle
  • Craft glue

[Trace a circle onto the cardboard using a CD. Cut a hole in the middle and a small section of the circle out. Cut out a 2nd circle]
[Place the string around the circle]
[Place the 2nd circle on top of the the first, sandwiching the string between them]
[Begin wrapping the tulle around the cardboard]
[Wrap it all around several times to make sure it is thick. Take the ends of the string and tie them together in a loose knot]
[Insert the scissors in between the 2 pieces of cardboard and cut around, freeing up the ends]
[Separate the 2 cardboard circles and tighten the knot]
[Tie the pom pom on to the headband. Put a little craft glue on the knot to prevent it from sliding around]
