diy anthropologie fabric collage jeweled cuff

October 9, 2012

Today’s DIY post is inspired by Anthropologie’s Fabric Collage Jeweled Cuff. It’s really easy to make and it’s a clever way to use of some of your old fabric remnants.

Supplies:

  • Blank cuff bracelet (I bought mine here)
  • Fabric Glue
  • Cotton fabric (1 1/4″ wide and approximately 40 inches long- doesn’t have to be a continuous strip)
  • Brooch or some other kind of jewel

[The first step is to cover up the ends of the cuff with fabric. Cut out a square that’s 3X3 inches. Place it around the back of the cuff]
[Fold the ends over and glue on to the cuff]
[Fold the top part of fabric over and glue in place]
[Repeat on the other side]
[Using an iron, press down the side of the fabric. When you are finished, press down the top]
[Glue the fabric strip to the inside of the cuff, wrong side down]
[Begin wrapping the fabric around the cuff. If you are using different strips of fabric, make sure you always end and begin on the inside of the cuff]
[Attach a brooch or glue some jewels to the front]
[Wear & enjoy!]

Do you have to glue down the fabric each time you wrap it around?

No, I didn't find that it was necessary. I just glued it down at the start and the finish.
