This woven leather cuff is easy to make and takes less than an hour. Ribbon could also be used in place of the leather.
Supplies:
- Blank cuff bracelets (I bought mine here)
- Leather/suede (I used scraps left over from thrifted clothing)
- Scissors
- Craft glue
[Cut the leather into long strips. Mine varied in size from 1/4- 3/8 inches. Glue the end to the inside of the cuff] |
[Glue the end of the leather to the beginning. Cut off the excess length] |
[Repeat until you have 5 evenly spaced loops. Let the glue dry] |
[Once the glue is dried, feed the leather through horizontally in an over-under motion. You might want to use a blunt object, like the ends of the scissors to pull the leather under the loops] |
[Repeat with the next strip, except this time do an over-under motion. Alternate each strip] |
[Cut out 2 rectangles the width of your cuff and glue them over the ends of the strips] |
[Wear & enjoy!] |
